10 cents1837 “Prisoner’s dime” Bronze coin from the time of King Otto that was used as a prayer bead by a prisoner of the time. As is known, the prisoner held the coin from the center and hit it on the floor, turning it a little after each hit. Thus, the thicker the outline, the longer the prisoner had remained in prison.
